Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a third-person open-world game set in the fictional state of San Andreas, inspired by California and Nevada.
As the player, you control Carl "CJ" Johnson, a former gang member who returns home to Los Santos to rearm his gang and avenge his mother's death. Other characters that accompany CJ are his gang mates Ryder and Big Smoke, his brother Sweet, and Catalina, his ex-girlfriend and one of his main enemies.
Throughout the story, CJ will take you through fictional cities such as Los Santos (based on Los Angeles), San Fierro (based on San Francisco) and Las Venturas (based on Las Vegas).
As you progress through the game, you enter a world of gangs, police corruption and turf battles, set against a backdrop of organized crime, corruption, and betrayal.
